CCMH is proud to be the leading hospital for vaccination in Southwest Oklahoma. To date, our community hospital has given more than 6000 doses of COVID-19 vaccination. We are proud to say that our number of COVID-19 cases has decreased within the hospital and we are trending in the right direction in our community. In more good news, yet another vaccine company has completed its trials. Pharmaceutical Company AstraZeneca has completed a US-based trial showing its COVID-19 vaccine to be 79% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 infection, and 100% effective at preventing hospitalization. AstraZeneca will submit their vaccine to the FDA in the coming weeks for Emergency Use Authorization. CCMH encourages all team members to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. The only way that we eliminate the dangers of COVID-19 is to come together as a community with everyone doing their part.
