Dr. Yost is from Emporia, Kansas where he has been practicing orthopedics for 13 years. He worked with the athletic teams from the local high schools and Emporia State University during his tenure there.
Dr. Yost received his Bachelors degree in biology from Colorado College where he played both football and baseball. He went to graduate school at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He graduated from medical school from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City. Dr. Yost did his residency training at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City and completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow and Sports Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
He specializes in disorders of the shoulder and elbow as well as sports related injuries. Dr. Yost performs arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilization and subacromial decompression as well as total shoulder arthroplasty and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty for chronic rotator cuff arthropathy.
