In an era where technology often takes center stage in healthcare, volunteers remind us of the profound importance of the human touch. A warm smile, a reassuring hand, or a compassionate ear can often provide solace and comfort that no medication can match. Volunteers at CCMH excel in this regard, infusing the hospital environment with empathy and kindness, thereby enhancing the overall patient experience.
We recently celebrated the amazing CCMH Volunteers and recognized the years of service they provided. Of the 93 volunteers, the longest serving is Ann Tubbs, who has been with the program for 28 years! Coming in a close second at 26 years each, Ellie Ellwanger, Debbie Givens and Earline Gregory. We appreciate their dedication to our hospital!
