Lawton Community Health Center (LCHC) and Comanche County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) will provide additional health care services for the residents of Elgin, OK and surrounding areas to include a new primary care clinic, an urgent care clinic, imaging, lab, and space for rotating specialty services with the partnership of the city of Elgin and their Economic Development Authority. All parties signed a contract to move forward with the expansion project and plans.
The Elgin Economic Development Authority is providing the land for the expansion. LCHC will be responsible for developing and building new facilities that will better serve with more capacity for the families in and around Elgin. The primary care clinic and urgent care clinic will be the first phase of the project
“Comanche County Memorial Hospital is excited to partner with the Elgin Economic Development Authority to help expand health care services in and around the Elgin community, a vital part of Comanche County. It’s our goal to increase access to quality care,” said Brent Smith, FACHE CCMH CEO.
JJ Francais, Mayor of Elgin stated, “I have worked since day one to expand access to healthcare in Elgin. What began as a fight to get an ambulance service based out of Elgin to what has developed into a seven-acre medical park. This will help improve the health outcomes of our residents and will also enable them to stay in Elgin long past retirement.”
CCMH and LCHC have provided primary care and pediatric services in Elgin since 2010. LCHC in Elgin is currently located at 7936 US-277.
LCHC has 22 clinic locations with 80 providers to serve the families and their loved ones in and around Southwest Oklahoma.
